RT-RCR-200A:Compact field measurement system

For the measurement of vehicle-borne radar, 5G communication, especially millimeter-wave passive/active antenna products, the feedback source of the compact field system radiates spherical wave at the focal point of the reflector. After the reflection of the specially designed reflector, a plane wave environment is generated in the static area to meet the requirements of antenna measurement, which solves the difficult problem of traditional far-field measurement due to long-distance.

一、Characteristics of Compression Field

二、Crimped reflector

Reflector is the key component of the compact field system. This system adopts the single-reflector with curling edge, and uses aluminium as the basic material of the reflector. It is machined by high precision milling machine as a whole, with high surface precision.

The surface accuracy of the reflector is 12 um, which is directly related to the high frequency performance of the compact field. For 100GHz frequency, the path mechanical deviation of the system reaches 1/100l to meet the test requirements, i.e. 0.03mm. Considering the mechanical installation accuracy deviation and temperature effect on the deformation of the system, the surface tolerance of the reflector must be less than 20um, and the surface tolerance of the reflector provided by the system can meet the test requirements.

Because the reflector is a high-precision mechanical component, it is necessary to prepare a dedicated high-stability reflector bench.

五、System feed

It can provide a standard bandwidth feed, but also customize the design of broadband feed and bipolar feed according to user requirements, in order to improve the measurement efficiency of the system and the special needs of users.

六、System Turntable

According to the specific test needs of users, the corresponding turntable system is provided, such as different turntable designs for vehicle-borne radar, 5G terminal and 5G base station.

七、Radio Frequency Link

The RF link system of compact field is designed with Keysight test instrument as the core. Passive antenna measurement takes PNA network analyzer as the core; active antenna measurement takes signal source analyzer and signal generator as the core; at the same time, in order to improve the dynamic range of the system, the system provides two modes of radio frequency links: direct-pass and mixing-frequency radio frequency links; at the same time, it also supports the upgrading of radio frequency links based on existing user testing instruments.

八、Systems software

The system provides perfect test software for passive antenna/active antenna system.

Passive antenna testing software supports the measurement of 2D/3D pattern, gain, efficiency, sidelobe level and other parameters.

Active antenna test software supports EIRP, bandwidth, phase noise, modulation signal, and other parameters measurement.

The software supports user-defined development of DUT communication protocol, supports automated testing and generates user-formatted test reports.
